Londonderry / Amsterdam – 10/10/23 – Velocio announces the Technical Winter collection for 2023 & 2024. Based on technical & recycled fabrics, the brand from Londonderry stays true to a long-lasting mindset that includes its signature garments and colors, now available to endure weather and time.  From Ultralight to Softshell, and Merino to Pertex & Polartec, the collection covers every need and garment length to allow the best layering possible.

Tested far up in the north and one of the few complete winter collections, Velocio gathered plenty of inspiration from the XC Ski regarding layering and materials, so it is ready for everything from 3ºC and wet to minus and actually freezing.

If function follows form, fabrics should inspire usage, and Velocio has proven this principle throughout its collection. Now designed with more technical detail for the roughest months of the year, cyclists can enjoy the winter beauty in the right gear.

Starting from a Merino Mesh base layer, which provides all the thermoregulating benefits of natural wool fiber in a lightweight and breathable layer, the collection builds with a Signature Softshell jacket with three-layer protection that can take everything from heavy rain to freezing winds, while effectively managing moisture and internal climate.

Customers can create layering versatility with the Concept Merino, the perfect mid-layer that can become a base-layer, combined with a thicker Signature jersey, or an Ultralight Vest. This provides the best system possible, both to carry in a pocket or to confront the coldest days. The Alpha Collection, the most technical offer from the brand, consists of a mix of breathable fabrics. It contains outshells of Pertex Quantum Air, along with an insulation layer of Polartec's renowned Alpha fabric, which is a mix of synthetic fibers and merino wool.

Combine upper layers with different bibs & bib lengths, and you have the perfect kit to go from early morning rides to long days in the saddle, ready for all of the transitions in between climbs and downhills.

As the days get colder, choose to increase the length and move into tights and long sleeves. There are thinner (Mid-weight 215gsm fabric) or heavier (Thermal WinterFit DWR fabric, fleece-lined and moisture-wicking) leg/arm warmers to add to the kit.

As the deep winter arrives, Velocio offers the Zero+ collection, which includes tights, booties, caps & gloves that will guarantee the best protection against extreme cold & occasional showers. This collection also includes two softshells; the windproof and water-resistant DWR-treated four-layer spacer softshell to protect exposed areas, and a mid-weight fleece backed with DWR softshell allowing moisture to evaporate quicker.

The winter collection demonstrates Velocio’s deep understanding of cycling and delivers products capable of adapting to all weather conditions. It provides comfort, performance, and an aesthetic that inspires customers to commit to adventures and rides, in any type of climate.
