Silca is proud to announce they are teaming up with Czech cycling distributor Bike Brothers Import. They will help SILCA venture into new territories such as Slovakia, Hungry, and Romania and help cement their foothold in the Czech Republic and Europe.
Bike Brothers distribution originated from a deep passion for cycling, quality products, and a desire to turn this passion into a way of living. They are located in Jablonec nad Nisou in the northern part of Czech Republic near the Jizera mountains, where they can be found frequently riding. They have a huge passion for bikes and use them for almost anything, such as the best way to clear your head and take a short break from the daily routine. They focus on premium brands that not only look and function well; but, also have a longer life expectancy and provide the highest dependability. The SILCA brand is the perfect addition to their portfolio, as they are always pushing the boundaries of form, function and durability.
SILCA is excited to partner with Bike Brothers to both expand SILCA’s reach and to enrich Bike Brothers portfolio. Before, SILCA already had coverage in the Czech Republic. The collaboration with Bike Brothers import adds Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania to that list. SILCA, in return, fills an immediate categorical need for Bike Brothers, making this a mutually beneficial situation for both parties.
This truly is a mutually beneficial situation for all parties and we are excited for this great new opportunity to bring SILCA products to three more countries in this part of Europe.Brandon Dubich, Sales Manager at SILCA
SILCA has a unique position in the cycling industry combining traditional products like tools and pumps with high-end technology like 3D titanium printing and 3D laser welding. This attracts pro-teams who use their technology and know-how to reach optimal performance as well as bike enthusiasts who aim for having high quality gear.
The background and general curiosity of SILCA’s CEO Josh Poertner is the driving force behind these developments. With a background in aerospace and automotive engineering as well as material science, he is always pushing the company forwards into new territory. Many SILCA products have been born out of requests or frustrations experienced by mechanics or athletes. Aeromind, SILCA’s sister company, consults ProTour teams and athletes in the areas of aerodynamics, equipment selection, and tire pressure optimization and once proven their value, get turned into SILCA products.
SILCA was founded in 1917 by Felice Sacchi outside of Milan, Italy and was well-known for the first company to put gauges on pumps, the first to produce a true ‘high-pressure’ frame pump and the first to work with revolutionary lightweight material plastic after the end of WWII, and later the first to bring CO2 to roadside inflation. Today SILCA is located in Indianapolis, IN where it continues to build iconic products that utilize the finest materials and craftsmanship available while pushing technological boundaries by leveraging the most modern engineering and manufacturing practices and materials.
