OMNIUM Introduces Game-Changing Tilting Rack Bracket

UNDER EMBARGO: Do not publish before 3 October 2024, 12:00 CEST (UTC+2)

Effortlessly tilt or detach an OMNIUM Cargo or Mini-Max rack for quick and convenient home storage, flexible parking options, or more favourable carriage on public transport.

25 September, 2024 · Copenhagen, Denmark — OMNIUM is thrilled to unveil the new Tilting Rack Bracket, an innovative accessory designed to further enhance the versatility and storage potential of OMNIUM Cargo and Mini-Max models.

The Tilting Rack Bracket features a quick-release hinge that enables the front cargo rack to tilt effortlessly in seconds, allowing for more compact storage and easy navigation through tight spaces — truly a game-changer. In addition, it includes a quick-release pin for complete rack detachment, for those who need to change their bike's final form on the go.

Designed with practical urban life in mind, this solution is perfect for storing an OMNIUM in tight spaces like narrow corridors or communal parking areas. The tilting feature effortlessly allows moving the bike inside when outdoor storage feels insecure or exposed to harsh weather — enabling safe, dry storage and unobstructed passage.

For commuters and travellers, the Tilting Rack Bracket may reduce concerns about train journeys where bike space is limited. The tilting function allows the bike to fit more easily into narrow train corridors, compartments, or bike bays, making it considerate for fellow passengers and conductors. The quick-release detachment lets an owner transform their OMNIUM into a more conventional bike in seconds, potentially complying with various train operators' transportation policies (check these policies before travelling).

Moving an OMNIUM up and down stairwells or in narrow elevators is also made far easier with the quick-release detachment, particularly useful in apartment buildings where a normal rack setup might otherwise be cumbersome.

For an ultra-narrow storage solution, pair the Tilting Rack Bracket with a turnable stem and folding/removable pedals. Together, these accessories can reduce the bike's width to as little as 21cm (excluding an extended kickstand). OMNIUM recommends the BySchulz Twist
SDS stem and MKS Folding or Ezy quick-release pedals for the ultimate in space-saving efficiency, transforming a Cargo or Mini-Max into one of the slimmest and lightest cargo bikes on the market — even narrower than a road bike.

Made from durable CNC-machined aluminium and including stainless-steel bolts, the Tilting Rack Bracket weighs just 463g and increases rack height by a mere 16mm. It is simple to install and use without affecting the maximum load capacity of the rack. Enhancing any OMNIUM setup, it is also compatible with many of its products, such as the Child Seat RackFoldable Cargo Box, and more.

This new addition reflects the brand's approach towards functional design and practical solutions, ensuring that an OMNIUM can do anything, anywhere, anytime.

Available now from omniumcargo.com or from local OMNIUM dealers throughout Europe (available elsewhere in early 2025), the Tilting Rack Bracket is set to become a game-changing accessory for many OMNIUM owners.
