Old Man Mountain is committed to balancing the quality and value it provides to customers and is going beyond platitudes to prove it, by dropping prices a 15%
Bend (OR) / Amsterdam (NL) – For immediate release — In a time of swelling corporate profits and inflated prices seeking greater monetary heights, Old Man Mountain is standing out by dropping prices on all of their rack Fit Kits. Old Man Mountain is committed to balancing the quality and value it provides to customers and is going beyond platitudes to prove it.
But how did this happen? This past fall, Old Man Mountain invested in a new CNC machine. This was done in order to keep up with demand and improve their manufacturing efficiency. This new efficiency reduced the cost to make their axles by a fair amount. Rather than pocket this newly found profit and take a long vacation in 2025 they are passing the savings on to their customers.
Prices are dropping 15% from $80 to $68!
This price drop represents a commitment from Old Man Mountain to make high-quality, reliable bicycle racks accessible to more cyclists.
We’re thrilled to be able to lower prices on our Fit Kits. In the rest of our lives we’re regularly experiencing rising prices and inflation, but as Old Man Mountain grows we are able to gain some manufacturing efficiencies. Part of the reason we love our axle mountable racks is because they make bikepacking accessible with whatever bike you have. Lowering the cost for a fit kit makes it 15% more accessible. Every bit helps.Erik Fenner, Marketing Director at Old Man Mountain.
Old Man Mountain's commitment to the bikepacking community and to providing exceptional racks remains stronger than ever. With the new price drop, there’s no better time to equip your bike with one of the most trusted racks in the industry.
Old Man Mountain was born from the need to mount racks on bikes without traditional mounting points. This started with QR skewer-mounted racks, and has evolved into a full line of optional Fit Kits for Thru Axle, or QR Skewer mounting racks on any bike. The products are tested and trusted in the most extreme environments on earth. Old Man Mountain racks have helped riders traverse Iceland in bitter cold winters, carried the gear of countless GDMBR riders, and circumnavigated the globe. The only remaining question is where will it go with you?
