OMNIUM LAUNCHES FIRST EVER CARGO WHEELSET WITH DT SWISS

Omnium Proves Its Commitment to Innovation, Durability and Performance, Announcing Its New Custom Wheelset with DT Swiss

03 July Amsterdam - Omnium is excited to introduce the first ever cargo wheelset made by DT Swiss, designed specifically for our mini, mini-max and cargo bikes. This collaboration is an important milestone in adapting high-performance engineering to the unique challenges of heavy-load, utility-focused cycling, where strength, stability, and long-term use are key. By applying their experience in spoke, hub, and rim design to a different kind of riding need, this collaboration highlights how performance technology can be adapted to support everyday transport. It reflects a shift toward practical, purpose-driven cycling without leaving behind the precision and standards DT Swiss is known for.

For over 30 years DT Swiss has been building and innovating bicycle components of the highest quality, known for combining Swiss craftsmanship with cutting-edge design to deliver products with lightweight performance, durability and reliability.  Their wheels are the choice of high- performing athletes and everyday cyclists alike, whether you're racing cross-country, touring cross-continent, descending alpine trails, or pushing heavy loads around town, DT Swiss wheels are a global benchmark for quality and consistency.

As cargo bikes become a bigger and bigger part of modern urban mobility, the considerations for wheel builders evolve with it. Omnium needed to consider different wheel diameters and the need for reinforced rims to bear more and more weight. After building many wheels for its clients on their custom bike builds over the years, Omnium can now finally offer a custom DT Swiss wheelset designed for our bikes.

Erik’s Testimonial (The True Marmalade Test)

"There’s so many thoughts bouncing around in my head while on this tour, whether it’s where I’m gonna sleep, how I’ll find food or water, is that that person texting and driving gonna stay in their lane…but one of the things I don’t need to ever think about is if the bike and the components on it will be durable enough to withstand the nonsense I put them through. Having reliable gear on board is key and this wheelset from DT Swiss has held up through all manner of terrain, ups and downs over multiple mountain ranges and the roughest roads for the last 10,000km, and I trust will continue to keep me rolling for another 100,000km no problem."
