The story about Flat Track Racer Charlotte Kainz, Directed by Wendy Schneider, Continues to Inspire Audiences
Amsterdam– 3 April 2025 – Angels Of Dirt, the powerful documentary directed by Wendy Schneider, will make its European debut in May following a successful run across the United States. The independent film chronicles the life and career of Charlotte Kainz, a “small-town girl” who grows up among the racers and pit mechanics at a rural Wisconsin motorcycle track. Shot over the course of 17 years, this intimate and engaging documentary is an all-encompassing portrait of a fearless young woman with an innate desire and knack for competing and succeeding in a sport very few women, much less young girls, ever thought to compete in.
The documentary is both a celebration of her legacy and a tribute to the resilience and rise of female riders in motorsports.
Interviews include legends, Mert Lawwill (On Any Sunday) and Grand National Champions Scott Parker, Jay Springsteen, and Bubba Shobert.
- Milwaukee Film Festival 2024 – Wisconsin Premiere
